The Yan Lab operates at the intersection of physical, biological, and chemical sciences. We offer a collaborative environment where you can contribute your expertise and expand your skill set in nonlinear laser spectroscopy, biochemistry, surface sciences, molecular modeling, and molecular dynamics simulations. Our goal is to advance the frontier of chiral SFG methods to address research challenges related to molecular behaviors of biopolymers (proteins, DNA, and RNA) at aqueous interfaces. If you are passionate about integrating interdisciplinary approaches to solve complex biological problems at the molecular level, we invite you to contact us for research opportunities.
You will need to apply to our graduate program. You may write to Elsa Yan for information about openings of graduate research assistant positions in the group.
We welcome students from different departments and various undergraduate research programs (MARC, SURF, and STARS). If you are considering joining our research group, please email Elsa Yan.
